Culture Day 2026

We will be celebrating our annual Culture Day and Wear Red Day on Friday 16 October. This special whole-school event brings our community together to celebrate the diverse cultures, identities and experiences that make Dorothy Stringer such a vibrant place to learn. We have a range of activities planned throughout the day full details can be found on our SLG.

Amaze Story Trail

Our reading bench was inspired by Brighton’s diverse culture, famous attractions and unique history. We wanted to capture what makes our city special, from the pebbled beach and rolling waves to the colourful buildings and lively atmosphere.

Year 7 Forest School

We've officially kicked off Forest School for our new Year 7 students! Our first group has already enjoyed exploring the woodland, taking part in outdoor activities and beginning their Forest School journey. This fantastic programme provides students with opportunities to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork while learning in a natural environment.

Thank you to all the locals businesses who donated prizes to our fundraising raffle. Click here for more information about fundraising at Stringer.

Education for Life begins with us

Dorothy Stringer is a vibrant, stimulating and happy community – a place where everyone is encouraged to play their part, both inside and outside the classroom. We aim to create a learning environment that meets the needs of every one of our students.

Today’s young people face a world that is changing at an ever-increasing pace. As a school we have a duty to prepare them for their adult lives. We firmly believe the five-year experience at Dorothy Stringer will help to unlock their full potential and instil a lifelong love of learning.
