RS at Stringer
Religious Studies is taught throughout the school in accordance with the Brighton & Hove Agreed Syllabus. This takes full account of the Christian tradition and also includes studies of other major world religions. In Years 10 and 11 all pupils follow the Short Course GCSE using the EDEXCEL Syllabus.
In an exciting curriculum development an advanced subsidiary GCE (AS Level) in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics is also offered to pupils who wish to take it. This has been a huge success. In 2002 and 2003 fourteen Stringer pupils gained 'A' grades in this course designed for sixth formers.
