Information
Come along and join in with the Stringer Athletics Club which is running every Tuesday and Thursday. You can come and try any of the events... you don’t have to be the next Olympic shot putter but maybe you just want to try it. All events are practiced and you may find something you like!
Everyone is welcome from all year groups.

Sainsbury's National Cup
On Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th May 2008, the Dorothy Stringer Athletics teams took part in the Sainsbury’s National Cup. The girls competed on Monday and the boys competed on Wednesday, with both teams doing very well.
The competition was held at the K2 Centre in Crawley, which was also the venue for the filming of the TV show ‘Superstars’. There were famous athletes there such as Kelly Holmes, Sir Steven Redgrave, Lee Sharpe, Karen Pickering, Mike Catt, Graham Thorpe and many more. Dorothy Stringer pupils were lucky enough to meet these ‘Superstars’ to get autographs and pictures, which I’m sure is something they will never forget.
