Discipline
Prior to joining the school, all pupils are issued with a copy of the school's agreed code of conduct and parents are expected to confirm in writing their agreement to the general principles. Any breach of the code is considered a serious matter.
Punishment or sanctions include extra written work, loss of privileges and after school detention. For minor offences pupils may be detained for up to 15 minutes, but for more serious offences an official detention of 30 and 60 minutes is imposed. In the latter case, parents are always given 24 hours notice. This will be issued via the pupil.
School (30 min) detentions are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Senior Staff Detentions (60 min) are held in F3 on Monday and Thursday.
