Return of the Sheep

As you may have noticed, this week sees the glorious return of the sheep to Stringer and, as always, they have pulled in plenty of attention. For the Year 7's this must be an exiting new prospect, but for the older years it's more like seeing an old friend again.

Dr Danahar and Mr Sandercock are the masterminds behind this eco friendly project, set up to help develop our school Butterfly Haven. By grazing on the aggressive grasses on the site, the sheep allow the wildflowers we want to have a better chance of growing. When the sheep eat the grass, they also take the nutrients from the plants into their bodies and use them for growth, so it's good for them and good for us!

So if you fancy seeing our sheep then simply pop up to the Butterfly Haven, just watch out for the baaaaaarbed wire!
