Make Your Mark
Congratulations to Year 10 pupils Ben Ward, Dylan Thomson, George Raven, Judd Newell and Joe Russell-Thorn, aka Bright-n-Bikes, who made it to the South East final of the national Make Your Mark competition.
73,000 pupils took part across the country so the boys did exceptionally well to make it to the final held at Royal Holloway University. The competition brief was to "Let local inspiration lead you to a 'cool' creation" and on Thursday, 26th November the team had to present their idea to a team of entrepreneurs in a 'Dragons Den' style pitch.
There were 9 others teams and although our Stringer boys did not win overall, it was extremely close. The team did win the Financial Whizz kids prize, meaning their idea was the most financially sound - and isn't that all that matters?! So look out Brighton, this time next year they could be millionaires!
