'Love Where You Live' Photography Competition
Ecoschools is delighted to inform you of a photo competition we are running with not for profit recycling organisation Alupro, which encourages children at Key stages 2, 3 and 4 to take notice of their local surroundings - what's beautiful and what's not so great - so they learn to enjoy it, and look after it, at a young age.
The Love Where You Live competition offers prizes for schools worth a total of one thousand pounds for the best pictures in two categories:
- How your school encourages love of local landscape and wildlife
- Practical measures taken by children in your school to look after the environment
The competition is open to amateur photographers (teachers, students or parents) only, and pictures with children must of course have the written permission of parents. Closing date for entries is 28th February 2010. Full competition details are available at www.lovewhereyoulive.org.uk.
