TAKEPART Dolawen 10km Walk Sunday 20th June 2010
As part of this years TAKEPART festival, Dorothy Stringer School will be organising a 10Km walk across the Downs to raise money for Dolawen, the schools outdoor education centre in North Wales. We want as many students, parents, friends and family to support the school and TAKEPART in this event!
Event Details
- Date: Sunday 20th June 2010
- Venue: Dorothy Stringer School
- Start: Registration from 9.00am at the rear car park on Stringer Way - Mr Allen will officially start the walk at 10.00am
- Route: Will take you down Braybon Avenue and over the Downs (which has now been designated a National Park) for pleasant 10km stroll. There will be checkpoints along the way so no cheating!
- Finish: Back at Stringer - at a moderate pace the walk should take around 3 hours
Please make sure that you wear suitable footwear and clothing for the walk. If the weather is fine please make sure you bring plenty of water and sun protection eg hat and sunscreen. The walk will take place in wet weather conditions so again make sure you bring wet weather clothing ie waterproof coat, trousers etc. In the event of adverse weather conditions please check the Dorothy Stringer website for updates.

Please make cheques payable to: Dorothy Stringer and make sure you register before Friday 18th June 2010 .
