Dorothy Stringer Dance Show 2010

This year's Dance Show was the best ever, showcasing the wonderful talent of over 250 pupils from the school. The two evenings were packed with entertainment from all year groups in a number of dance styles, from pieces made up in clubs, pieces created by the pupils themselves, and curriculum work.

Some of the wonderful comments received from the audience were:

"Wow, it was amazing. The work that went into it must have been crazy. Any way, just saying well done and can't wait till next year."

"I was absolutely amazed by the quality of the production - I don't think it would have been misplaced at the West End! On top of that, I thought it was fantastic that so many children were able to take part and that all of them danced to such a good standard. I cannot believe another school (state, private or public) in the country is doing something as good as this."

"Wow - I never expected the show to be so spectacular and professional! We enjoyed it so much and felt really proud (and thankful!) that we belong to such a special school."

"Congratulations on another, even more spectacular show! I can't imagine how you do it, and all the children love it so much, it seems a truly inclusive event. There was such variety, and we loved the costumes."

"Just wanted to say how blown away we were by the dance show. Our son loved being in it and really wants to learn more now. Thanks to all at Stringer for putting in all the hard work to choreograph and organise such an entertaining and uplifting couple of nights."

"It was amazing that all those dances were produced by just two teachers! And working with young people myself, I understand what a logistical nightmare it can be motivating, supporting and co-ordinating and containing the spirits of 250 dancers!"

"Thank you for enabling your children to be part of such a stunning show. The imaginative choreography, invention of ideas and sheer quality of dancing was amazing. You should be proud of your pupils and the school should be proud of you and your team."

The two evenings will take some beating next year.
