Dream Team

Many of our BTEC Diploma and Child Development GCSE pupils ran the back stage area at the Brighton and Hove Let's Dance Festival held at The Dome recently. Vardean College and City College Child Development Level 3 pupils also supported them with event tasks. This was a four day event and involved a great deal of responsibility. We are very proud of the pupils who volunteered their time in the day and evening to work as a member of the back stage crew for this event, giving 2,500 4-11 year olds the chance to dance on a professional stage. Without them the event could not have taken place. A special thank you goes out to Craig Anderson, Jake Woollard, Billy Ratcliffe, Richard Farmer, Jamie Jasper and Emily Capps, as they co-ordinated the back stage crew to ensure all the jobs were completed in order for the event to run smoothly.

Under the guidance of Mr Watson and myself these pupils went on to run back stage for the Dorothy Stringer Dance Show, also held at The Dome. They are a credit to the school and we are very grateful and proud.
