Youth Council Elections Celebration Event
On the 17th November, the Youth Council Elections Celebration Event took place at Brighton Town Hall. Newly elected Brighton & Hove Youth Council (BHYC) members were invited from schools, colleges and youth groups across the city. They were joined by current BHYC members and supported by the Youth Service. Special guests Cllr Sue Shanks and Cllr Stephanie Powell joined in the celebrations to congratulate young people on their success at being elected or nominated by their peers.
The new members will serve for two years and the next step will be for BHYC to tackle Bullying as their main campaign, getting the voice of young people heard by decision makers.
