Cameroon Evening
“The Cameroon evening was a huge success, we cannot believe the turn out.”
Our first ever Cameroon Evening we recently held on 26th March and was a huge success. We had been planning it for weeks and were worried how it would go; we did not know how many people would come or whether people would enjoy it. However, the turn out was amazing. The event was packed with both children and adults and everyone had a wonderful evening. The entertainment was outstanding. A lovely presentation by Mr Browne introduced the evening was followed by John Mbong, a native of Cameroon, who told us what Cameroon is like to live in. Then a fantastic African dance followed by an outstanding performance by Noah Messomo, who was the highlight of the evening and the music and the story that he told captivated the audience. Everything went much better than we had hoped. The stalls were a huge success, all visitors learnt a lot about Cameroon from the games, the information boards and our helpers. Mr Browne, Miss Barter and Mr Sandercock organised a fantastic evening and they say they could not have done it without the wonderful help of the pupil and staff helpers! So it was a successful evening and we hope to have more Cameroon Evenings in the years to come!
If anybody would like to find out more about our partnership with Cameroon or has any ideas for how we can progress with our link, please email either Mr Browne, Miss Barter or Mr Sandercock and they will be happy to hear from you.
