The 39 Steps at The Criterion Theatre, London |

Warhorse at The National Theatre, London |
“Clever design, set and life-like puppets made me forget that the horse was operated by humans. I cared about the horse, Joey, and his experiences in WW1. The actors communicated the horror of WW1 for both human beings and animals.” James Claringbould 10CLK
“As well as the amazing puppetry, the actors controlling them made them come to life with realistic movement and sounds helping me to believe that the horse was really alive. By the end of the play, I felt bad for the experiences Joey had been through and I wanted him to survive and be re-united with Arthur.” Conor Edwards 10BAR
“I liked the way the mechanical horses were created and operated but by the end of the play, I had forgotten that they were being operated by actors and belived in them completely. The whole play was amazing; it was like an emotional rollercoaster that kept the audience gripped throughout.” Lily Newhouse 10WHI
“It was really cleverly designed and moved me to tears. I was absorbed in the action all the way through and really enjoyed the whole experience. It made me think about war and how much pain and suffering there was and what people sacrificed for it.” Claire Campbell 10DNH

Citizen and Chatroom at The Theatre Royal, Brighton |
“I preferred ‘Citizenship’ to ‘Chatroom’ because there was a definite story to it that helped me relate to the characters. ‘Chatroom’ was really moving and showed how some teenagers have really bad experiences and pasts. ‘Citizenship’ was more hopeful and I liked the way it was brave and explored different sexualities.” Hoa Martin 10HYW
“It was a touching look at teenage experiences and it made me think about real teenage issues. The actors and characters were really effective and communicated in a serious and funny way what really happens.” Jasmine Singh-Weldon 10WTN

Tintin at The Theatre Royal, Brighton |
“I thought it was true to the comic book and many of the techniques used were innovative and engaging, thus perfect for a piece of children’s theatre. I especially loved the used of music throughout the performance and thought the comedy was very effective.” Frankie Aaronovitch-Bruce 10TNS
“I laughed my socks off! Possibly the funniest 2 hours of my life! Snowy was my favourite; his realistic jiggling and funny, fluffy tail made me feel warm inside! A jolly romp for all the family.” Frank Adams-Brown 11GRY
“The Indian man on the bicycle with the bells and horns was hilarious! The way they staged certain sections was amazing; climbing Mount Everest, rescuing Snowy after he fell over the edge and crossing the rope bridge were really cleverly done.” Flynn Horne 10BAR
