Basic definitions of risks and hazards are explored, followed by understanding the impact that people, environment and equipment can have on causing or preventing injuries. Different types of injuries and some illnesses are analysed and the course will include a short practical test on treatment of basic sporting injuries, courtesy of St. John’s Ambulance.
