
Dorothy Stringer is a lively, vibrant and popular comprehensive school for approximately 1600 students aged between 11 and 16.
We provide pupils with an environment that promotes enjoyment in learning and high levels of achievement. The school has been extensively modernised. The facilities at Dorothy Stringer support an excellent staff in providing a high quality of education for all pupils.
Dorothy Stringer School has been awarded Healthy School and Eco-School Status as well as being nominated a Training school, Partnership Promotion School, Brighton and Hove School Sport Partnership and a Specialist Sports College. We have been selected by the Government to coordinate an Enterprise Pathfinder Scheme. The school also owns an Ecological and Environmental Centre as well as a unique Outdoor Adventure Activities (OAA) Centre - 'Dolawen' in Snowdonia, North Wales.
